Anne Phung Nguyen
Anne Phung Nguyen. I am an American Vietnamese entrepreneur living in Orange County California. Alongside my amazing partner JP as well as my happy dad Henry. Many people recognize my username as @annephung on Instagram, where I chronicle my journey - from the ups to the downs. My parents brought me into America in 1990, when I was just a year old. I wouldn't be sharing my story with you today if my parents didn't work for their dreams and put up with sacrifices. My parents were the source of my inspiration and I worked to be prosperous. There was a specific plan for me in life: go to university and get a corporate job, marry, purchase an apartment and have children. That was my ideal of what success looked like. But life had other ideas. In 2013, I realized that I was not happy being at my corporate job. The status and the money didn't not excite me. I felt like I was just wasting my time in exchange for a paycheck. My love of fitness and my passion for socializing with people helped me pursue a new career as an instructor. The business I started in the year 2014. My company is celebrating its seven-year birthday this year. It is rare to find Asian women in the industry. I strive to become a catalyst within the field to offer the best coaching and guidance to help people to live a more healthy and happier them by creating the most sustainable life that meets the individual needs and desires. It is my aim to inspire others to pursue their goals and achieve the life they've always dreamed of. My career took off as I was experiencing the most success of my life. However, my mother passed away at the same time that my career began to take off. Her battle for 8 years with Scleroderma is over and she rests in Heaven. She will forever be in my heart and brain. It is possible to learn from our experiences, though we may not be able to spot it in the moment. Her passing has changed my life in many different ways. I believe her passing gave me the chance to start an entirely new chapter. On Tet/Lunar New Year Day, she passed away. The time was right to go on to her next chapter as well as my opportunity to lead an authentic and satisfying life. At the age of 30 I am awestruck by the feeling of living and being alive. I'm not feeling as if I'm just a mere existence anymore. I am sharing my experiences to you with the hope that you'll be able to connect with my words and experiences so that you can feel secure knowing that you're not the only one, to be aware that you are beyond capable of anything you set your mind to and that love is real, that therapy is normal and needed as health is the most valuable asset. Since death is the only thing there is in this world I want you to enjoy living your life to the fullest and leave without regrets.
